URGENT PRAYER CONCERN!
Greetings in the strong and peaceful name of Jesus!
We wanted to send an update to let you know what is happening with the ministry and let you know of a pressing need.
Meetings are going very well and we continue to see God at work changing lives. Unfortunately, we have had several open Sundays this summer. We still need to fill Sundays for the rest of the summer and into the fall. If you or your church is interested please contact us.
This past weekend we had an alarming situation. Wendy and I were on our way to an evening of preaching and worship at one of our local camp meetings. It was raining extremely hard and we were caught in the town of Hammonton in a flash flood. At one point we were concerned the van would float away because the water had quickly risen to the doors! We were stranded for several hours before we could be towed.
Unfortunately water was sucked into the engine and the engine was destroyed. It will take a little more than $4,000 to replace the engine. We have minimal insurance coverage on the van so all cost will come out of the operating expenses of the ministry. As you can imagine this is a tough blow for us financially during our slowest time of the year. However, we trust God and know He is able to provide.
We are reaching out to you with this need. Please prayerfully consider if you are able to give toward getting the ministry van back on the road. We understand that finances are tight for many. If you are not able to give at this time we still covet your prayers. We are resting in the fact that we have no doubt that God is not finished with this ministry and will enable us to continue to travel and share the Gospel with whoever invites us without setting a fee.
2Cr 1:10-11: “On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.”
